PARTY PERFECT WITH RUSH HAIR BRISTOL*

I was kindly invited along to the grand opening of Rush Hair in Bristol this previous Saturday to celebrate the 74th Rush salon and get in on the action. This was perfect timing for me as the grand opening was also the day I was due to attend my other half's brothers 21st Birthday party that was themed as a glamourous red carpet event theme. Rush Hair invited me along to get party perfect and celebrate the opening and I thoguht this was great excuse to get ready for the event.
The salon has been perfectly placed in the centre of Bristol surrounded by all the shops and Cabot Circus shopping centre so it's the perfect placement for busy shoppers. It's also great for myself as I live in the centre of town so the salon is only a 10 minute walk from my flat and even just a 5 minute walk from where I work, great for those late night appointments and made even more fab that the salon opens until 8pm from Mon-Fri, perfect for us late office workers. The Bristol salon is the 74th salon in the Rush Hair franchise and all visitors were welcomed with freebies and bubbly to join in on the celebrations.
Upon arriving to the salon, I was greeted by lovely warm and inviting faces who offered to take my coat and allowed me to sit until my appointment in the front of the salon as I arrived a little earlier than my appointed time. This was no trouble for the salon however who took me through to the indulgent Spa room to get me shampoo'd up 10 minutes before my appointment had began and prepared me ready for my stylist. I was shampoo'd by Connie who is the newest member of Bristol's Rush Hair and is in the process of training to become a hairdresser. I couldn't remember the lady's name who was supervising her but Connie was walked through the whole process of shampooing clients. I was also offered and treated to a little head massage in the salon's spa room (shampoo station) which is very nicely lit and atmospheric, it was a very relaxing process and this is offered to each client previous to their appointment. We had a few laughs in the salon room and I was made to feel very relaxed. Rush are very attentive to their clients needs and Connie was instructed to use a double shampoo process of colour care shampoo and conditioner and a treatment mask was also applied to the ends of my hair and massaged through. For someone who dyes their hair a lot and walked into the salon with a shade of pink in my hair, I was pleasantly surprised they matched my needs with the products used so well and didn't bat an eyelid at my crazy colour experimenting or my slightly frazzled bleached ends. It was like a usual appointment where you are made to almost feel guilty at dying your own hair, if anything I was complimented on my colour numerous times which actually made me feel very nice and special when I told them I do it myself.
After my shampooing process, I was lead to a chair near the front of the salon and then introduced to Laura who was going to be my stylist. Laura was a fashionable French lady who has been living in Bristol now for 2 years now and we had a fabulous time together. After a consultation on what I wanted, we decided to go big and voluminous so that later when my style dropped a little, it would still be voluminous and shiny for my big night. We channelled my inner Madonna with a flick fringe and curl at the end and I was more than excited by the prospect of what we could achieve.
Laura noticed my undercut was a little grown out and even though I was not booked in for a cut, she agreed to give me a cheeky trim with the clippers and freshened up my undercut for me. It was this little attention to detail that made me feel all the more special and like it was no trouble at all. Myself and Laura got chatting and she had me giggling the whole time, and I may just have found my new stylist and new salon! Laura wanted me to desperately come back as she loved my crazy hair experimentation and that I'm open to most things, and I loved Laura's aura and her personality. It was a match made in heaven.
After just over an hour, I had the biggest hair of my LIFE. It was just amazing. The style dropped down during the day so that when the evening came, even though I planned to wear my hair up I actually loved my blow dry so much I left my hair down and embraced my inner Madonna. The fringe curl and flick managed to stay all through the evening which was wonderful and my hair was super shiny and soft. I've included a few photos from the party so you can see the final effect, I also loved the way my pink washed out giving me just a hint of a rose hue to my hair (I'm actually now dying my hair this colour on purpose as Laura gave me so many compliments, I felt I had to!) I've actually never loved my short hair so much as I did this day and the style Laura gave me was just perfect. I felt so confident and glamorous and received so many compliments from family and friends.

Aw what a treat!! Your hair looks gorgeous hun. I got my hair done by Rush a few years ago and they were fantastic. I'm so picky with hairdressers, they terrify me! I've some awful experiences but if I didn't do my hair myself I'd probably go back to them haha x
